MD Store is an e-commerce back end designed as microservices, built to learn how the Spring Cloud pieces fit together in a realistic domain.

Services

How I built it

It’s a Maven multi-module project on Java 17 and Spring Boot, so all services share a parent POM and are built with one command. Services find each other through Eureka rather than hard-coded URLs, and call each other with OpenFeign clients: the order service asks the product and cart services for data through declarative interfaces instead of hand-written HTTP code.

Authentication is centralised: the auth service signs short-lived access tokens and longer-lived refresh tokens, and other services only need the public key to verify them. Each service exposes Actuator endpoints for health checks.
